Pawcation Pet House –Daycare & Boarding Guide 🐾

Welcome to Pawcation Pet House πŸ’œ

We’re truly happy to have your pet stay with us! We understand that leaving your pet can feel worrying, especially for the first time, so our goal is always to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for them.

To make sure everything runs smoothly and to avoid any misunderstandings, we’ve put together this guide so everyone is on the same page 😊

Your Pet’s Health & Wellbeing

To keep all pets safe and happy together:

● Your pet should be healthy, fully vaccinated, and up to date with worming, flea, and tick treatments

● Your pet must be free from any contagious illnesses for at least 30 days before their stay

If your pet has any existing health conditions, please inform us in advance. This includes (but is not limited to):

● Cancer

● Heart disease

● Kidney disease

● Liver disease

● Arthritis

● Canine cognitive dysfunction

● Dental issues

πŸ’‘ The more we know, the better we can care for your pet.

Temperament Evaluation

● Some dogs may be required to undergo a temperament evaluation before acceptance

● This helps us understand your dog’s social skills, comfort level, and suitability

Our goal is always to ensure that daycare/boarding is the right fit for your pet, not just to accept every booking.

Female Dogs in Heat

● Female dogs in heat are required to stay in a private room during boarding for safety and hygiene reasons

First Stay Adjustment (Very Important)

Especially for first-time boarders:

● Pets may take time to adjust to a new environment

● They may:

β—‹ Eat less or skip meals

β—‹ Feel shy or anxious

β—‹ Take a few days to feel comfortable

This is completely normal and not a sign of neglect.

We will always:

● Offer food regularly

● Monitor their condition

● Care for them closely

However, please understand that:

● Some pets may tend to eat less during their stay in a new environment or even homesick

● Temporary loss of appetite or slight weight loss may happen

πŸ‘‰ This is part of the adjustment process, is completely normal, and Pawcation Pet House is not responsible for these temporary changes.

Social Play & Interaction

● Your pet may interact and play with other pets during their stay

● While supervised, minor incidents may happen, such as:

β—‹ Small scratches

β—‹ Play bites

β—‹ Minor bumps

These are part of a normal social environment.

If your pet injures another pet or person, the owner will be fully responsible for any resulting costs or damages.

Veterinary Care & Emergencies

● If your pet appears unwell, we will try to contact you immediately

● If you are unreachable, you authorize us to seek veterinary care on your behalf

All related costs will be borne by the owner, including:

● Treatment

● Medication

● Transportation

General Risks & Natural Occurrences

Even with proper care, some things may still happen during boarding, including:

● Appetite or weight changes

● Changes in coat condition

● Fleas, ticks, or skin irritation

● Ear or eye issues

● Cough, diarrhea, or other illnesses

● Chewing or swallowing toys or bedding

● Injuries, mishaps, escape, or unexpected incidents

● Seizures or sudden passing

By boarding with us, you acknowledge that these are natural risks, and Pawcation Pet House will not be held responsible for such occurrences.

Flea & Tick Awareness (Outdoor Environment)

Pets in our care enjoy outdoor time in our garden, which supports their wellbeing 🌿

However:

● It is not possible to fully prevent insects, including fleas and ticks, from entering the environment

Because of this:

● Flea and tick prevention is required for all pets

● You may bring your own treatment or purchase from us

If fleas or ticks are found:

● Treatment will be applied

● Charges will be billed accordingly

By boarding with us, you acknowledge that outdoor exposure comes with natural risks, even with preventive measures in place.

Hygiene & Potty Habits

● Pets must arrive clean and in good condition

● Pets that are not fully potty trained or tend to mark indoors must wear diapers while indoors

You may:

● Bring your own

● Purchase from us (RM2 per piece)

Food & Feeding

● Owners are required to provide their pet’s regular food

● This helps prevent digestive issues from sudden diet changes

Even with familiar food:

● Some pets may still eat less due to stress or excitement

● We will continue to offer food and monitor them

We are not responsible for:

● Appetite loss

● Food refusal

● Digestive issues

If you would like us to cook for your pet, we’re happy to help β€” just provide the ingredients 😊

Medication

● Please provide clear written instructions for any medication

● While we will follow instructions carefully, we are not responsible for issues caused by:

β—‹ Incomplete instructions

β—‹ Undisclosed conditions

Personal Belongings

● Items may be chewed, damaged, or lost

● Please avoid bringing items that are valuable or irreplaceable
